Haleakalā (Maui)

An unforgettable ceremony above the clouds atop the East Maui Volcano

Our First Wedding Location on Maui

Haleakalā National Park is a stunning, out of this world location on the island of Maui. Sacred to both ancient and modern Hawaiian culture, Haleakalā is a renowned location for hiking and camping, and the park cares for endangered species that can only be found in its lush forests. To view the park’s incomparable sunrises, make a reservation in advance.

Vowing Your Love on Sacred Ground

At Haleakalā National Park, begin the most important day of your life with a 2 minute hike to some of the most stunning views on earth. These ceremonies feel out of this world as our couples come into union above the clouds on this revered volcano. Sunrise weddings are possible, but sunsets are an ideal time. At sunset, the weather is warmer and there are fewer people at the location.

Important Notes About Haleakalā National Park

While the location is an easy 2-minute walk from parking, Haleakalā National Park is not wheelchair accessible. Sunrises tend to be busy, and the weather can be chilly at the top. Haleakalā National Park’s Summit District is open from 3AM to 7AM for sunrise reservations. Camping is available at the park, but it is required to reserve space in advance through recreation.gov.
