Richard is the quintessential host for informal, heartfelt events such as a beach wedding. His comfortable, casual style creates a warm and open environment, allowing for spontaneous expressions of love and gratitude. Building on a strong Christian background, he now approaches spirituality with an open-minded perspective. While not a formal member of any religion today, he respects and finds wisdom in all spiritual paths. Richard greatly values the Hawaiian culture and the lessons that can be gleaned from an ancient people who left us a legacy of ALOHA. In line with this, he believes that being present is the single most important aspect of a wedding ceremony, and so does his best to bring both the wedding couple as well as their guests into the magic of this special moment.

Richard has been a resident of Waimea (Kamuela) on the Big Island since 2013 and has two sons and a granddaughter living in his hometown of San Jose, California. He is also a private music instructor teaching guitar, voice, piano, percussion and ukulele. You will find him as a regular stage performer and host at many venues here on the Big Island.

Angy did it all! I could not have don't this without her and it CERTAINLY wouldn't have gone as perfect as it did! She planned it all! The officiant, hair and makeup, our Lei's, and she did the pictures, and we mailed our dress (which I recommend it made the trip so much easier to know she had it and it wasn't crammed in my suitcase just a day before the wedding! Our pictures are so wonderful and the wedding was perfect I can not stress enough how fantastic Angy was and just the sweetest person ever! I've never been so happy! 💚💚💚

Awesome! Angy was great to work with and took amazing photos! Would definitely recommend her.

Angy and her assistant Nani did an excellent job photographing our wedding. Angy was very professional and kind, making the whole shoot very fun and comfortable. All of the pictures turned out wonderfully, and Angy went the extra mile to have them ready for us the next day. If you are in need of any photography or videography in Kailua-Kona, don't hesitate to contact Angy!

Angy and Manon photographed our wedding and did an amazing job. They arrive prior to the ceremony as requested so we could take beach shots in advance. Angy put us at ease and helped to get natural, intimate and breathtaking shots. During the ceremony, cake cutting and toast she captured the special moments and emotions. As we had a fairly small group of 16 guests she worked with us to get shots of everyone with us. The end result is a amazing set of photos for us to look back and remember one of the most incredible days of our lives.

We cannot say enough good things about Angy. She made our wedding day wonderful and she prepared a slideshow for us 2 days after the wedding for our family and friends to view. The pictures were creative and beautiful. She was excellent with instructions for posing and different angles. We absolutely LOVE all of our photos and we send our thanks to Angy. I know how hard it is when you are choosing a destination wedding, but have no worries with Angy she is professional on all levels.

Angy is not only a fantastic photographer, she is a great person. We had a very small and intimate ceremony, and by the end of our event we felt like Angy was one of our group! She is not only professional, helpful, considerate and approachable, she is truly fun to work with.

Angy was great! She was able to capture our emotions in our photographs. Angy was very personable and she seemed to know what we wanted without us asking. Our photographs are wonderful. We receive compliments on them all the time.

Marlene & Mark

Our photoghraper Angy was great. She arrived earlier to get set up and really worked with our location on the beach. She was willing to climb over lava rock to be sure to get the shots we wanted. I would definitely recommend her to others. We have also already worked with her on our album and she responded quickly to changes and as we would find one or two more changes, she had no problem with making the changes we requested so we could have the album just as we wanted. The experience was personal and I'm so happy we have a record of the memories made in Hawaii. Thank you, Marlene Blankenbuehler
