One of Our Favorite Wedding Locations on the Big Island

Kikaua Point Beach Park is one of our favorite locations because it truly has it all – a white sandy beach with beautiful fine white sand, exquisite lava rock formations, palm trees, a grassy area where we can set up chairs, shade, sun, and turquoise waters. This is one of the few locations where we can set up our popular wedding chairs. This is the only beach where no more than one wedding at the time is permitted, which means you don’t have to share this location with any other bride.

Enjoy Flexibility and Ease of Access

At Kikaua Point Beach Park we can set up in the sand, on the lawn, or under the palm trees – It is definitely the most versatile venue for scenic wedding photographs. Another major plus of this beach is that it’s easy to access. The sand is easy to walk on if you have elderly guests, and is wheelchair accessible. It is great for families with small children as well because the water is very calm, and there are clean restrooms onsite. Kikaua Point Beach Park is very close to the Four Seasons, which is a great location to have dinner after your wedding. In fact, the Four Seasons offers an exclusive private beachside table, where a dedicated chef will prepare a family-style meal just for you and your wedding guests. You’ll be able to sit with your feet in the sand and watch the sunset as you dine.

Important Notes About Kikaua Point Beach Park

An important thing to plan for with this location is that only a certain number of cars are permitted in the parking lot at a time - once capacity is reached cars must wait until space opens up again. To avoid any parking lot hiccups on your wedding day, we highly recommend carpooling to this location from your hotel or resort. Weekends and holidays are generally busier than weekdays.  Kikaua Point Beach Park is ideal for sunset or morning weddings, as it can be crowded with beach-goers for mid-day weddings. As with almost all beaches in Hawaii, this beach closes 30 minutes after sunset, so the wedding setup will need to be broken down and off the beach at that time.
